Technology Capability Working Group

Technology Capability Working Group
The goal is to develop practical knowledge and toolsets for architecture practices to use in the technology landscape area housed in the BTABoK and connected to the other whitepapers and resources in the space. I have included a few primary groups that have expressed interest and have some existing IP/need for the output. I have included both possible participants and the Chief Architect (sponsor) for the working group in this email. It is understood that in many cases it will be a staff member of the Chief Architect participating in regular meetings but the CA MUST sign off on both the work and the contribution!! 😊 Charles Betz will be a facilitator and leader in the program.
The Technology Capabilities working group would develop an extremely practical toolset for connecting a technical capability labeling and level method with canvas, template and tools to be able to speed the identification, classification and prioritization of technical services, platforms, applications and such. There is a stub article here (please do not judge as it is extremely very horribly rough):Â https://iasa-global.github.io/btabok/tech_landscape.html
The goal would be to publish these techniques to connect with our existing Services, Business Capabilities, Roadmapping and other BTABoK articles already approved. We would aim to be practical and agile over perfect and forever, to gather real feedback from architecture practices globally.
For Background (will explain on our first call)
Technology Landscape is a name that we have assigned to the Architecture Concept in the BTABoK which houses the following primary elements:
- Technical Capabilities – definitions, tools (canvases, templates), reference model
- Technical Definitons – basic platform, product, definitions
- Technical Portfolio – definitions, tools (canvases, templates)
To join this group, you need to be approved by the team. You can write amiguel@iasaoffice.org for more info.
